Join Pastor Will Rice Sunday mornings for a new adult Sunday learning experience. We dig into the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments through teaching, multimedia and group learning. If you are not currently in Sunday School, this is a great way to invest a second hour on Sunday mornings. If you currently worship at 11:00 am, consider moving to 9:30 and then join us as we focus on letting the Scriptures come alive in our lives.

Scripture tells us to train children in the right way and when they are old, they will not stray. (Proverbs 22:6) We at University UMC take those words very seriously. Part of our history has always been the importance of teaching our children how to know and love the Lord.  There is no better way than learning it from the direct source – Holy Scripture from The Bible. We feel it is so important, that we take the entire year with our 3rd graders to walk through the bible. Their Sunday morning curriculum is designed exclusively for them to receive a solid understanding of the who, what, why, when and how in scripture.

Last September, two adults stood before the incoming third graders in worship services, and held up their Bibles that The U had given them when they were entering 3rd grade. They quoted scripture that had helped them through tough times, and told how Jesus had loved and led them to know him better.

We are a fellowship of believers who speak with our actions – we believe in giving prayed-over Bibles to the hands of the future of the church. Will you be a part of continuing that legacy?

This 34-week course is designed for participants to experience Jesus’ message through historical narrative of God’s relationship with His people. Through video teachings from seminary professors, daily Scripture readings and group exercises, participants will study Genesis to Revelation, covering nearly 75% of the Bible. Register

This Bible study is designed to provide an overview of the entire New Testament in a 10-week course.
